Do you have your own locomotive that you would like to run on our Wester Pickston railway? We’ve had some beautiful engines visit us, and we warmly welcome seeing new locos running around our track!
To be able to run your own loco, you must bring some paperwork with you to ensure everyone’s safety. The requirements are:
- Steam engines:
- A current boiler certificate
- Public liability insurance.
- Electric / petrol locos:
- Public liability insurance.
Regarding the public liability insurance, if you are a member of another club, your club’s insurance might include cover for running your engine on different railways. Please check with your club if this is the case.
With this information, we’d sign you in on the day(s) you are visiting and you can ride the rails of Wester Pickston Woods!
