Having built-up gradually and presented the award-winning and reputable annual Perth Model Railway Exhibition at the Dewars Centre in Perth for the last 25 years, the organisers have decided to move the event to a new venue in Perth. From 2027 the exhibition will now take place at the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing at UHI Perth (Perth College), Crieff Road, Perth.
This decision has not been taken lightly and is the result of the proposed development of the car park and grounds at the Dewars Centre and Leisure Pool into residential use. Officials at Perth & Kinross Council are unable to guarantee that the car park will be available next summer and as this creates uncertainty and removes parking for our exhibitors and visitors, we now see the Dewars Centre as a non-viable events venue for our show.
We are excited to retain the exhibition in the city and move to the facility at UHI, Perth. We are looking forward to presenting our first exhibition there on the weekend of 26th and 27th June 2027. We will continue to bring high-quality model railway layouts from throughout the UK along with a selection of the best traders, specialist societies and modelling demonstrations, the aim being to educate, entertain and show off our hobby in the best way possible.
