Each year, as our model railway exhibition draws to a close, we have the pleasure of presenting trophies and shields for excellence in different areas of railway modelling. Four awards were made on Sunday:
- The Harburn Hobbies Trophy for best in show as voted by the public went to James Cochrane and Andrew Campbell for their layout Lockerbie.
- The Robert Bruce Memorial Shield for best scenic layout, as judged by a PMRG team, was also awarded to James Cochrane and Andrew Campbell for Lockerbie. …

The Scottish Model Engineering Trust are pleased to present their 33rd award-winning annual model railway exhibition at the Dewars Centre, Glover Street, Perth over the weekend of 27th & 28th June. Packed into the hall will be 32 model railways sourced from all over the UK along with a representation from specialist railway societies, modelling demonstrations and support from some of the best trade the hobby has to offer. We froze over winter, we got soaked in January, and now in spring, we are enjoying some long wished for sunshine! Just in time as well, as out first open day of 2026 is just around the corner - Sunday 5th April.
