Dalmarnock Industrial

Control: DC Gauge: 16.5 mm Location: Scotland Period: 1960s Scale: OO; 4mm:1ft Size: 10' x 8"

Dalmarnock Industrial was created as a diorama before it came into my possession. It is a grimy industrial layout based around a chemical factory making aerosols, a wire rope works and a steel tube manufacturer. For exhibition purposes I have added a fiddle yard at each end which allows for freight traffic to be delivered and picked up from the chemical plant sidings or alternatively pass through for the Tube Mill and other off scene facilities. There is an additional loco works shed for small industrial servicing and repair. Now a DCC layout it uses Peco Code 75 Bullhead track with Cobalt operated points, a MERG command station and CANCAB controllers. It can be operated with either steam or diesel shunters or a mixture of both. Information for exhibition organisers
